Biography: Tom Siegfried is editor-in-chief of Science News. From 1985 to 2004 he was science editor of The Dallas Morning News. He is the author of The Bit and the Pendulum, Strange Matters, and A Beautiful Math. He is a contributor to the National Association of Science Writers' Field Guide for Science Writers. In 2006 he received the American Geophysical Union's Robert C. Cowen Award for Sustained Achievement in Science Journalism.
