Name: Barbara Trevett

Biography: Barbara Trevett has worked for more than three decades as a highly respected medical science public affairs specialist, including service as manager of press relations and public affairs at The Jackson Laboratory, in Bar Harbor, Maine, and the Boston Medical Center. In 1995, she became a founding partner of the Boston-based firm, Medical Science Associates, where, among other responsibilites, she orchestrated press seminars for academic institutions, including the Harvard Medical School. She has served on the boards of several organizations, including The Thyroid Foundation of America and the LA Biomed Foundation. Barbara attended Northwestern University, earned her B.A. from American University and her M.A. from Boston University. She currently resides in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband, Kenneth P. Trevett, also a member of CASW’s national advisory panel.
