This year we convene in the Northwest for a great mix of stories in space science, the environment, geology, mathematics, genomics, psychology, primatology and more.
The New Horizons in Science briefing begins with a welcome reception at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture following NASW's Science-in Society workshops. It continues through Tuesday, Oct. 23, and is immediately followed the next day by a bonus tour of the Hanford plutonium production site. There is no fee to attend New Horizons, and some meals will be provided.

Hotel reservations New Horizons will take place at the Davenport Hotel in Spokane. You cannot reserve a room online. Reservations -- mentioning "Science Writers"-- must be made by calling the hotel before Sept. 21 at (800) 899- 1482.
